PVC free splash-mats

Let’s face it, kids are messy. It seems like parents are forever cleaning up after them. One great accessory to have during the messy years, is a splashmat. They can be used under a high-chair to catch all the flying food bits or they can be used for kids to play on!

Baby Naturopathics sells the 36″ x 46″ splashmats from Mimi the Sardine in a variety of patterns. They’re really thin and light and they can easily been rinsed or even thrown in the washing machine.

The bonus about these mats is that they are PVC free. The cotton material has an acrylic coating which is free of the hazards of PVC. The fabric is Oeko-Tex 100 Standard certified, which guarantees that it does not contain any harmful chemicals. This year, the fabric is transitioning to an organic cotton fabric with the acrylic coating.

Bibs are also available to catch all the messy dribbles. They have a pocket at the front which will catch crumbs and they too are safely coated with the non-toxic acrylic.
