Bio-degradable diapers come in cool colours!

gdiapers

gdiapers offers a flushable diaper for those of you who want an ecological choice when it comes to diaper disposal, but don’t want the hassle and icky task of hand-scrubbing those cloth diapers. The outer diaper is made of cotton and spandex which is breathable and comes in a vast array of fun and funky colours, dyed using a non-toxic process. The inner liner is made of viscose rayon, which is essentially wood pulp and can absorb up to 100 times its weight in liquid.

The cool thing is that if you are not able to flush the diapers, for whatever reason, you can easily toss them in the garbage because they do not contain plastic, latex, chlorine or perfumes so they will easily break down in the landfill within 90 days as opposed to 500 years for disposables!!

Additionally, they can also be tossed on your compost heap! If you’re a home composter, you can toss in the urine soiled liners. They will break down within 50-150 days and will mix in nicely with the rest of your garden composting mulch. Just remember, never to compost the poop filled diapers! Only the wet nappies!
And for you ‘fancy pants’ babies, Gdiapers just came out with a new Glam Black diaper!
