Sophie the Giraffe has a new cousin!
What baby does not have a Sophie the Giraffe teething toy? Sophie is so famous, and widely available, that you can even purchase one at Starbucks!
Sophie (made by Vulli) has a long history, dating back to 1961 when she was born in the French Alps. She’s made of natural rubber (phthalate-free) and non-toxic paint. The soft, easy to grip toy fits perfectly into babies hands. And the soft texture of the rubber feels so good on teething gums!
But, now Sophie has a close cousin called Chan Pie Gnon (derived from the French word Champignon, meaning mushroom). The little mushroom creature comes in three colours: blue, yellow and pink. They are made from the same non-toxic materials as the Sophie doll and are equally as enjoyable for babies to chew on. And they are so cute! They are intended for newborns to age 2.
Cheeky Monkey sells them for $15.99 USD and CDN.

I love Sophie, these new toys look just as cute and being non-toxic is the way to go.
